Actichem CTR is a powerful coffee and tannin stain remover designed for carpets and fabrics. Its advanced formulation targets and neutralises stubborn tannin-based stains like coffee marks, tea, and dye-based beverages.
The low-pH, metabisulphite-based chemistry penetrates deep into fibres, lifting browning, water marks, and other challenging stains without causing damage. Actichem CTR is safe for use on both natural and synthetic fibres, though colourfastness testing is recommended on delicate materials.

Application areas and surface suitability
Actichem CTR is a coffee and tannin stain remover for carpet & fabric cleaning.
Actichem CTR is ideal for use on all wool and synthetic fabrics and carpeting except for stain resistant nylon. Actichem CTR is commonly used by professional carpet and upholstery cleaners to treat severe stains. The strong odour of the product does require the user to wear suitable personal protective equipment.
How to Use
Always pre-test in an inconspicuous location for substrate sensitivity to chemicals.

Dilution
- Ready to use
- Dilute 1:1 with clean water for light stains and when using on upholstery.
Application
- Use Actichem CTR undiluted for severe contamination or dilute 1:1 for lesser effected areas and for use on upholstery.
- Spray apply this solution onto the fibre or fabric until it is wetted out.
- Agitate solution using a carpet rake or upholstery cleaning brush.
- Allow 10 – 20 minutes reaction time.
- Rinse extract using Actichem Rinse Pro or an Actichem Emulsifier.
- Allow to dry. Assist drying by increasing ventilation.
NOTE: Do not mix Actichem CTR with any other cleaning solution.
