Stewardship and Sustainability Policy

Actichem Pty Ltd is committed to a robust environmental and sustainability policy in research, formulary and manufacture of chemical products. This committal encompasses a wide range of factors and is subject to external auditing to ensure ongoing compliance.

Occupational Health & Safety Policy
Actichem Pty Ltd recognises it’s moral and legal responsibility to provide a safe and healthy work environment for contractors, staff and visitors. The company complies with SafeWork WHS legislation and guidelines including the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 NSW and holds current workers compensation insurance.

Staff Welfare
The HR Policy of Actichem Pty Ltd is committed to ensuring that all employees are treated fairly with dignity and respect in accordance with the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 No 48. This means that abilities, skills, qualifications and experience are considered without regard to sex, national origin, race, religion and marital status. Actichem complies with the Racial Discrimination Act 1975, Sex Discrimination Act 1984, Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Equal Opportunity for Women in Workplace Act 1999.

Manufacturing and Site Compliance
Actichem operations works to EPA compliance policy for all it’s manufacturing infrastructure and processes. This includes, external audited, compliance with;

  • Hunter Water Trade Waste Policy
  • Energy (Electricity) Conservation
  • Waste Minimisation and Recycling Scheme
  • Storage and Handling of Dangerous Goods (Workcover Act 2011)
  • EPA Compliance with Section 120 Protection of the Environment Operations

Ingredient and Packaging Policy
Actichem has placed focus on keeping current with environmentally friendly innovations in raw material ingredients. Where circumstances permit no-or-low impact materials are used to ensure that all Actichem formulae have no negative impact on the environment. This includes GECA certification of ten formulae for cleaning and maintenance applications. The environmental commitment includes but is not limited to:

  • Aerobic and anaerobic biodegradation (OECD method)
  • Bioaccumulative character
  • Compliance with RSPO Palm Oil policies
  • Minimisation of VOC’s
  • Minimisation of sodium and phosphorous
  • Recyclable only packaging use
  • Fragrant compliance with International Fragrance Association.
