Biosan II and Deosan have a large overlap in application. However, they do both have some very specific roles.

The principal differences and similarities between Biosan II and Deosan are:

Benefits & Features

Biosan II

  • Premium blend of two bactericides with potentiating agents.
  • Biocidal efficacy tested to TGA hospital-grade standards by NATA certified microbiology laboratory.
  • Dynamic wetting and penetrating ability
to enable bactericide to penetrate deep into carpet fibres and biological mass, dramatically enhancing overall project success.
  • Low perfume (lemon) level.
  • Provides a lab-tested & documented premium level of bacterial, viral and mould elimination and odour neutralisation.

Deosan

  • Blend of two bactericides with potentiating agents. Lower actives level than Biosan but still higher than Prochem Duo.
  • Blend of two bactericides with potentiating agents. Lower actives level than Biosan but still higher than Prochem Duo.
  • Not independently tested for biocidal efficacy.
  • Standard wetting ability. Comparable to competitor’s equivalents.
  • Powerful odour-neutralising perfume and fragrance.
  • Provides an economical option for most general sanitisation, odour elimination and restoration work.

Application

Biosan

  • Decontamination of areas where bacterial contamination is severe such as sewage backups, forensic clean-ups and floods.
  • Odour neutralization in flood restoration, urine odour, sewage back-ups, etc
  • Mould remediation work.
  • Disinfection and sanitisation of carpet,
fabric and hard surfaces in medical institutions, community facilities and homes where positive disinfection is required for health requirements and the documented proof are required.
  • Must be rinsed/flushed from carpet or upholstery

Deosan

  • Odour neutralization in flood restoration, urine odour, sewage back-ups, etc
  • Odour neutralization in fire restoration work.
  • Mould remediation work.
  • Will also provide excellent elimination of bacteria, mould and viruses but not to the same level as Biosan and does not have documentary proof.
  • Can be left in the carpet as a residual anti-microbial to deal with any possible wicking up of moisture.
