The test results from this stringent test procedure demonstrate how effectively the Stone Sealer Gold protects treated surfaces. Sydney Sandstone
The unsealed stone has very poor resistance to staining; especially oil based stains and is severely affected by stains which leave a fine residue such as coffee and red wine.
Note: The sample of Sydney Sandstone treated with Stone Sealer Gold significantly improved the stone’s resistance to the staining agents. Improved mean stain resistance rating from 62% to 78%
Marble
The unsealed stone is extremely sensitive to all staining agents and especially acidic solutions such as red wine and orange juice. No sealer is known which will provide marble with a total barrier to red wine.
Note: The sample of Bianco Carrara Marble treated with Stone Sealer Gold significantly improved the stone’s resistance to the staining agents applied. It produced a perfect result on the oily stains and reduced etching and visibility of the acidic and fine residue stains. Improved mean stain resistance rating from 48% to 70%
Limestone
The unsealed stone was found to show severe staining to orange juice.
